Huntington 3rd Grade Defeats West Islip 6-1
On a beautiful spring morning, the Huntington 3rd grade team leaped to a
quick 3-0 lead and never looked back. With relentless play by their
midfielders and sharp passing by the attack, Huntington unleashed a
ferocious attack. They scored in all possible settings: running the fast
break to perfection, making crisp passes in their set offense and
capitalizing when they had man advantages dues to West Islip penalties. On
offense, Willie Coffey, Patrick O'Brien and Jack Wallace made strong passes
and out-hustled their West Islip counterparts. On the attack, scores came
from Peter Kingston, Adam Pomper and John Magrath. A the defensive end of
the filed, Luis Puca, Jamie Cronin and Nicky Smith consistently thwarted the
West Islip attack and Bobby O'Brien made several key saves and started
